Optum Advisory Services is seeking one or more Jr. Data Architects to work on client-facing billable projects. Positions in this function use advanced statistical and inferential analysis programs to provide specialized data analysis. Person will organize, sort and filter data in order to distinguish patterns and recognize trends. Primary Responsibilities: Develop and maintain data preparation and validation routine to support data mining to create complex data models. Design data flow (eg, data acquisition, formatting, dependencies). Design data models (eg, relational/dimensional, logical/physical, new subject areas). Collaborate with business partners to ensure data standardization (eg, enterprise standards). Design/define data validation rules and transformation logic (eg, ETL) Ensure compliance with enterprise Information Management standards and processes (eg, governance, archiving, metadata, master data, data modeling, data quality), and provide feedback as appropriate. Develop applicable test plans/scenarios Identify and investigate new technology solutions to meet emerging data warehousing needs Ensure scaling capability to enable future growth Conduct all required design reviews and obtain appropriate sign-offs Perform data profiling to ensure data availability/completeness/accuracy/consistency (eg, analyze data patterns, source data) Apply Design Patterns when developing data warehouses/data marts Adhere to security requirements when developing data warehouses/data marts (eg, PHI, HIPAA) Qualifications: Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in creating data warehouses and data marts 5+ years of experience in data mining 3+ years of experience with data architecture, design data management governance and data modeling Careers with Optum.
