Primary Function
The Customer Service Associate is a customer facing team member who provides exceptional counter service by delivering relevant products and services that satisfy the needs of our customers through multiple service channels. Responsible for making interactions personal and consistent, while making it fast and easy for the customer to do business with Grainger.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
:Effectively and efficiently manages customer interactions by utilizing functional and product knowledge to navigate them to the best solution for their MRO needs
:Resolves customer problems promptly and accurately in a manner that will retain and promote customer loyalty
:Drives sales results through daily branch activities and counter sales
:Utilizes effective probing and listening skills to generate lead and cross:selling opportunities
:Provides supports to our sales partners to address customers needs and help grow the business
:Use technology to provide information such as pricing, availability, and alternative solutions to make a relevant offer and ask for the sale
:Adheres to work standards and leverages continuous improvement tools to identify problems and reduce waste
:Accurately picks will call and counter orders, ensuring orders are ready when the customer arrives
:Organizes inventory and product, as well as operates power industrial equipment
:Takes personal ownership for meeting established individual and team metrics
:Consistently executes on all company audit requirements
:Works effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems
:Fosters and builds a collaborative team environment

Preferred Education and Experience
:Must be at least 18 years old
:High School diploma or equivalent
:1:2 years of customer service and sales experience
:Experience processing orders, returns, debits, and credits is a plus
:Exceptional interpersonal and professional communication skills
:Experience demonstrating a commitment to providing superior customer service
:Must be able to learn and pass competency assessments specific to industry regulatory requirements
:Strong technical background, experience with SAP and Salesforce is a plus
:Able and willing to work in a fast paced, team environment
:Able and willing to work in a warehouse environment
:Able to operate powered industr
