General Information
Reporting to the Manager,Projects, Modernization, the Project Coordinator is responsible for partnering with the project managers (PMs) and the Project Controls department to ensure that projects and programs within Engineering and Project Delivery meet project performance metrics and are strategically planned and implemented within the organization. Project Coordinators are aligned with controllers and schedulers to achieve project specific and departmental views within Project Delivery. Project Coordinators will capitalize on strategic planning and implementation with other departments and within Project Delivery.The PC will be embedded into project teams to ensure that the team is meeting project milestones, managing risks, reporting status, etc. and following approved standard processes and procedures. The role is responsible for keeping the project managers, the Project Controls department, other key team members informed of critical issues and/or diminishing portfolio performance in a timely manner so that contingency plans can be implemented to minimize delivery delays, schedule and budget variances, resource impacts and maintain organizational credibility. The PC directly impacts the performance of the project through the use of subject matter expertise to shape and influence the practices used to plan projects. Results of a successful PC are optimized and efficient use of resources, high performance work teams, proactive assessment of project risks for effective mitigation, strong operational partnerships, and project results that meet or exceed business plans and goals.

:Effectively manages and completes multiple, concurrent mid:sized projects;
:Coordinate the assembly of updates from Project Team members and assembly for review by the Project Manager;
:Coordinate timely scheduling and cost development, review and forecast sessions with requisite team members and Project Manager and report and track trends as they emerge; highlight adverse schedule and cost variances for corrective actions;
:Ensure that all Project Controls activities are in accordance with set departmental processes. Includes preparation of schedules, cost reports, cash flow and variance analysis;
:Work with scheduler to develop and evaluate various contract and/or project schedule scenarios ("what if" analysis);
:Actively participate and guide the process to develop mitigating strategies for maintaining project cost and schedule goals and objectives;
:Analyzes variances in cost and schedule performance against the baseline estimate and schedule, and communicates reasons for variances to relevant management entities. Ensures that cost and schedule reporting are in alignment;
:Provide strategy recommendations to PM for when plans must change given the regulatory, contract, or other environments influencing the project;
:Leads project scheduler in analysis of project schedule (monitors and analyzes a schedule with actual progress versus planned progress to determine trends; analyzes trends), creates reports, identifies risks with resolution proposals for PMs and Management;
:Provides contracting strategy recommendations to the team and PM, and applicable contracting documents for procurements;
:Applies changes after approval to project plans throughout the project life cycle (initiation and planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing);
:Manages change requests and their impacts throughout the project life cycle. Ensures that changes in scope and/or cost are
