Job DescriptionSUMMARYThe Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing support to the Branch Managerby assisting with daily branch operations, including dispatching temporary workers, drivingworkers to job sites as needed and setting sales appointments. This position reports directly tothe Branch Manager.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Sales & Customer Service - Provides exceptional customer service to existing customersand our temporary workforce. Assists new applicants with the employment process, answersquestions and qualifies potential temporary employees for eligibility to work. Utilizes andsupports the CSP Sales Culture. Assists the Branch team in capturing and cultivatingcustomer loyalty and reinforcing a value added proposition to customers. Calls customers togenerate repeat sales and/or set sales appointments. Performs job site visits as needed. Maintains and Develops Accounts - Completes tasks such as bump calls and follows-up withcustomers by calling pinks to ensure jobs are completed to the customers satisfaction.Assists in the collection of payments in order to maintain accounts receivable guidelines.Assists with the development of customer relationships through high-volume telephonecontact. This includes resolving customer problems, collection of payments due, and pricequoting within the assigned parameters of authority. Utilization of Best Match Dispatch - Understands the requests of the customer and deliversthe best fit when dispatching. Ensures that dispatch decisions do not adversely affectindividuals in a protected class. Ensures customers understand Labor Readys best matchdispatch policy and the presidents guarantee. May be heavily relied upon to work the phonesto find qualified workers when trying to fill a job order. (May be required to drive workers tojob site if they have no other means of transportation.) Entrepreneurial Oriented - Self-starting and resourceful; turns problems into opportunities.Seeks new assignments and additional duties from Branch Manager. Demonstrates aninterest in the temporary staffing industry and the overall strategy and objectives of thecompany. Works in partnership with otherTrueBlue Brands in their market to achieve and/or maintain a dominant position in the marketplace. Open Communication - Ensures written and verbal information is shared in a clear, concisemanner with customers, temporary workers, co-workers and upline leaders. Demonstratesactive listening skills. Operations/Regulatory Compliance - Processes payroll for temporary workers from acompleted work ticket while collecting borrowed equipment and matching advances againstthe paycheck for accuracy. Ensures proper documentation before distribution of thecheck/voucher. Ensures Labor Ready processes and policies are followed as represented inthe operations manual, employee handbook and/or the @work website. Safety - Creates and reinforces a culture in the branch that places an emphasis on workersafety being #1. Takes a proactive stance in the prevention of worker accidents. Contributesannually to achieve worker safety ratio reductions. Encourage the heart by recognizing keycontributions and showing appreciation for individual and team excellence.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no direct reports but is responsible for supervising the temporary workers.SCOPE AND ACCOUNTABILITYBudget: This position does not manage a budget.Customer: Temporary workers and Labor Ready clients.Accountability: Without this position, temporary workers would not get to job sites or get paidfor their work, resulting in potential loss of clients and workers.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. Therequirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform theessential functions.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); some college preferred; or 1-2 yearscustomer service and/or sales experience; or equivalent combination of education andexperience.COMPUTER and SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTSProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. Ability to learn and work with new programs.OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Valid drivers license and a car that can be used for work. 2 years sales or telemarketing experience. Customer Service attitude with the ability to work unsupervised. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritize to meet deadlines underpressure. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Bilingual language skills a plus. Desire to work in a collaborative team environment.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and comprehend basic instructions, business correspondence and memos. Abilityto write business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one andsmall group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,common fractions, percentages and decimals.REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS, or TRAININGValid drivers license.WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL DEMANDSEmployee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and/or hear for long periods of time.
