WVJC in Charleston is seeking a Nursing Program Director. WVJC is a small private junior college. You will work directly with the Campus President to achieve program goals and work directly with community partners to develop and grow the program. The Nursing Program Director must meet the following requirements: -Holds a graduate degree with a major in nursing -Has five years of professional nursing experience -Two years of teaching in a professional nursing program -Holds a license as a registered professional nurse in the state of West Virginia -Has qualifications comparable to other faculty in the governing organization In addition, the Nursing Program Director is responsible for the following: -Leadership of faculty and staff -Develops and maintains relationships with local, state, regional, and national agencies involved in professional nursing or nursing education -Establishes and maintains liaison with central administration and other departments of the organization -Prepares and administers the budge -Facilitates faculty development and conducts performance reviews -Recommends faculty for appointment, promotion, and retention -Notifies the Board of major changes in the nursing program or its administration -Teaching, as required This is an excellent opportunity for career professionals with practical experience who want to teach others.
