Driven by the values of safety, quality, and integrity, FieldCore will be built to deliver operational excellence for customers in the power generation, oil & gas, nuclear, and wind power markets. With an increase in our electrical work, we have an immediate need to hire thirty (30) experienced Electrical Industrial Journeymen, Industrial Licensed Electricians, and Industrial Electrical Apprentices. Our electricians perform installation, maintenance, and warranty work in power plants and utility companies throughout the United States. These positions are for work in the US and require candidates that are US citizen or legal residents with a current US Green Card. You must be able to pass a drug test and background check. Some of the physical requirements of this position are traveling / field service job that requires you to be able to be away from home for extended periods of time, shift work, the ability to lift safely a minimum of 50 pounds, perform physical work related activities, and wear personal safety protection equipment (PPE). Qualifications & Duties: + At least 2 to 4 years Industrial Electrician experience required + Experience with power generation rotating equipment, industrial plants, power houses, and power control rooms required + Dismantle and assemble machinery and equipment using a variety of hand, power, pneumatic and hydraulic tools such as: 535 or 1224 Ridgid pipe threading machine, hydraulic knock out set, and 700 Ridgid conduit threader + Move machinery and equipment using hoists, cranes, chainfalls and trucks + Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment and supplies + Read & understand electrical drawings + Layout drawings for conduit and raceway installation + Able to bend, cut, thread & install conduit plumb & level + Install supports for panels, junction boxes, conduit, & cable tray + Wiring diagrams for trouble shooting problems & terminating cables + Use a Volt/Ohm/Meter and understand what each function is used for; experience with multimeters, meggers, and hi pot equipment required + Recognize different types of wire & cable by the markings on the cable and know why there are different types & sizes + Identify motors, generators + Experience with MCC, switchgear, and transformer installation highly desired + Voltage & amp ratings on nameplates & how to hook them up + Identify valves & instruments + Experience with PLC, DCS, instrumentation, and control systems desired + Must be able to travel and be away from home for extended periods of time + Must be able to lift 50 pounds + Must be able to walk/stand upright for periods of up to 12 hours + Must be able to bend, squat and climb stairs/ladders (occasionally to frequently) + Must be able to work on equipment located at or above shoulder level + May be required to wear personal protective equipment + Recognize from drawings and the locations the different ways conduits should be connected to these devices + You must pass a drug test and background check + Prior Safety Training, TWIC Cards, and Certifications are a big plus, ie electrical journeyman card, electrical apprentice card, state license, NCCER electrical certification, MSHA electrical certification, etc. - - - + We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disabled and vets. + For more information regarding affirmative action and equal employment opportunity click here at ol.gov/ofccp/regs/compliance/posters/pdf/eeopost.pdf .
