STUDENT INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY: 3:month term, starting in May 2018.

Successful applicants will become integral members of the department while learning within a team environment, completing meaningful tasks, and collaborating with managers on important projects. This position is a great opportunity for the candidate desiring to launch their career in Engineering.


The students responsibilities will be dependent on their team and work location. Some of the possible work responsibilities include but are not limited to:
:Work alongside and assist staff Enginers with daily department activities;
:Help develop HMI and PLC standard code, assist with upgrading the HMI systems at compressor stations;
:Verify data in models to as:built project drawings, update pipeline simulation models for updated system design;
:Assist with upcoming Capital Maintenance projects, support Class Change Program construction and scoping activities, develop training material, assist in developing Contractor Scope of Work template;
:Assist with developing the facility HCA (High Consequence Area) program, understanding facility drawings and how to analyze facilities for HCAs.
:Other tasks as required.

Qualifications and Education

Education / Experience
:Must be enrolled at a recognized post:secondary institution;
:Preference will be given to 2nd or 3rd year students enrolled in an Engineering program.

*This position may require candidates to:
:Provide an academic transcript for review;
:Have and maintain a valid drivers license;
:Provide a drivers abstract for review;
:Successfully complete a pre:employment medical screening, including drug and alcohol testing;
:Travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings or training which would involve some overnight stays away from home.
